Seeing KC

Maker Faire, Maker Faire, pray tell what have you there? Inside, outside, all around; no stranger things to see are found. Makers, crafters, inventors to spare, hackers, scientists, strange clothes to wear, artists, creators, technology, many different things to see, electronic gizmo's to urban... Megan Contained

My youngest granddaughter is eight. She never stops bouncing, or dancing, or hopping, or running; and never, never, never stops talking. I found a way to contain her for one full minute. The manner in which I did that was to promise to send her the picture that I took. I'm only fifteen days late.... Sign in to see full entry.

Winter Palette

Down the hill on the left, a little of the creek water can be seen. Deer like this area. They hide in the hollow in the day and come out at night often standing on the road with their eyes shining in the headlights of on-coming cars. So far I have not hit one. Sign in to see full entry.

Winning Ways

Great-grandbaby Marianna (I'm going to have to stop calling her baby. She is growing up so fast.) just won at the game of Candy Land. She loves to win. Don't we all. When Sons were young, they just loved The Game of Life. They would spend hours at it, and now and then I would play with them. It has... Sign in to see full entry.

Looking For Green

Snow is about melted by the rain now that the temperature is a tiny above freezing. I decided to get out in my hooded all-weather jacket and see if I could find some green. I finally did, someone had thrown their discarded Christmas tree out on the frozen lake which is now melting a bit. I don't... Sign in to see full entry.

The Attack Of The Nativity Monster

A little between-the-holidays day trip netted the three old ladies a visit to the country antique store in Tightwad, MO (pop. 63) for a little shopping spree. Even though Christmas was two days over, Friend Janice couldn't stand to see two of the Three Wise Men blown over by the fierce wind. It... Sign in to see full entry.

Finally Great-grandbaby Marianna loves Santa. Last year when Santa came to visit she screamed and cried when he came near and even threw a temper tantrum, flinging herself to the floor at his feet rather than sit on his lap. Of course, last year she was only two and had no idea what it was all... Sign in to see full entry.

"Fats" Putin on Russia's Got Talent

I haven't been out and about taking any photos lately. Instead of reposting old ones or worrying about getting out in the cold with my camera, I thought I might share with you Vladimir Putin on Russia's Got Talent, singing Fats Domino's version of Blueberry Hill from back in the 1950's. In those... Sign in to see full entry.

Old Times/Good Times

I love our Kansas City Tradition of lighting The Country Club Plaza shopping area for the Christmas Season. They are put up and taken down every year, checked for needed replacements, and with the flip of a switch all turned on at one time on the night of Thanksgiving. They are left on until January... Bare Arms

Winter trees grace my yard with stark beauty and bare arms that let the sunshine through and allow a backdrop of blue, blue sky.... winter trees, though winter still remains almost three weeks away. Sign in to see full entry.
