Changes

Things are changing in my back yard, the cypress is quickly going bald; and the leaves of the sycamore are crinkling now like scraps of paper no longer wanted, and its scaling bark looks.....haunted. The seasons come and the seasons go; the sun shines and the winds do blow. The rains fall and the... Sign in to see full entry.

Amelioration

According to the calendar, it is two days away, but in reality, it is here already--autumn. The weather is perfectly cool, but sunny. The progression of color of the leaves will definitely keep my attention until there is nothing left but bare trunks and limbs, and winter is on its way again. Sign in to see full entry.

Tapsy's Pond

Morning mist at summer's end burns off, as the sun rises high in the sky, and Tapsy's Pond begins a new day as nocturnal critters skittle off into the deeper brush to hide, or sleep or just abide their time 'til eve rolls round again. Blogit trivia: Does anyone remember what long-gone Blogit writer... Sign in to see full entry.

Nature Ignored

Just a few steps outside my door the children play on a pretty day... or stay away if there's something more enticing. Sign in to see full entry.

By The Side Of The Road

The out of the way places, by the side of the road, call to me. "Beauty is here, right here, not at your planned destination." I saw one of those yesterday-- an amazing expanse of wild sunflowers heads lazily reaching toward the afternoon sun. I wanted so badly to stop but it was not a proper... Sign in to see full entry.

The Vines Of Forest Park

Just across the road, and down my favorite city trail, beneath the giant trees of long ago's beginnings, I often pass... and dream of days gone bye. Morning brings the flitting and the happy chirping of cardinals of the brightest red and prettiest songs. That's when the fat opossum with the pointed... Sign in to see full entry.

My Jungle Canopy

The bright, warm morning sunshine disappeared into the gathering gloom, and the jungle suddenly became dark and menacing as moisture drizzled on everything green. As evening comes on, one begins to see the glowing eyes of creatures on every side inching closer. Actually, the photo is taken from my... Sign in to see full entry.

Come Back Little Hummingbirds

Trumpet vine calling to the humming birds, "Come back my little ones. Don't fly away and leave me yet. If you are not here to enjoy my nectar, the humans will mow me down and carry away my dead branches so that I don't keep reaching out. "Come back my little ones. I know the nights are getting... Photo #3 - Living At The Edge

I love living at the edge of the woods. It's so green this time of year, but soon, all too soon, it will be such a variety of colors as the weather temperatures drop, and the leaves begin to turn fall colors. Another thing I love is messing with the photos that I take. I always do. Photoshopping is... Sign in to see full entry.
