I grew up in the type of culture where if you're 22 and not married then you're an old maid and no one will ever marry you. My entire family comprised of Christian Arabs. So by the time I was 24, my family felt like it was their job to find someone for me since I hadn't done the job myself. As most Middle Eastern families, we owned our own family business.
