Modern Sacrifice

Times have past since the daemon reigned… Since men and women Hailed its name; for what it promised and The gifts they would claim: Prosperity, lack of complications, and blessed Womb of the wife Little to no strife and all things nice; all for The first born—first life And now the demon is barely remembered, with Science and such Yet it lives as always—amongst the science, among Technology, amongst us Sacrifice of the child is still alive: by lack of religion, And lack of parenthood The mothers...
