The Other Half

April 8th, 2009 3:16 PM Starting on the other half of the lawn today. Moved all of the potted plants I have off of the grass, onto the sidewalk, up onto the porch, they're freaking everywhere. We're talking a pretty small yard to begin with, a decent size porch with 3 steps, and a 10 foot sidewalk. A little crowded, but hopefully worth it. Don't know why the urge struck me to put in a lawn. I'm not really what I picture to be a lawn type of guy. You know, the perfect house, perfect lawn, perfect... Sign in to see full entry.

ChaCha

April 7th, 2009 11:46 PM I just spent a couple of hours getting registered for an online "job" my brother recommended. It's answering texted questions on the internet. It only pays like 2 cents for each one, which they say can earn up to 7$ an hour. Woohoo, exciting. Apparently it will take them a couple days to let me know if I passed their test. At least it's free to join which makes it seem very legit, besides the advice of my brother which I highly value. Probably a lot of his college... Sign in to see full entry.

Does God Hate?

April 7th, 2009 3:31 PM A big yellow sign "God Hates Fags" was being carried around by a local man today. He walks up and down Duval St., the main street in Key West, toting signs and spouting doom and condemnation for all us sinners. One of his least popular signs is simply "God Hates USA". Is it just me, or does the idea of God hating seem strange? I thought God was Love. I thought God was Good. I thought God's Son spoke of loving all men. Regardless of anyone's views, regardless of whether... Sign in to see full entry.

Rickshaw

April 7th, 2009 10:41 AM Driving people up and down the street on a bicycle taxi is a fun, rewarding, and exhausting experience. It's like a giant exercise bike with passengers that pay you. But on windy days like today it can be rough. About 6 months ago the restaurant I was working at changed management. It went from a light-hearted outdoor cafe with a couple well-compensated servers to losing it's feeling, the atmosphere people loved, and having way too many employees covering each shift.... Poker Night

April 6th, 2009 5:32 PM About to go play some no-limit Texas Hold'em Poker. One of my obsessions. Been playing for about 5 years. Sometimes miss the casino's back home. You get to know all the other players after a while. Become like a large network of friends. Gambling probably isn't the best activity I could choose to obsess on. I've definitely had some ups and downs with it. But, like chess, I love the game. The math, the numbers, the logic, the psychology at play. In general, I find that... Sign in to see full entry.
