I love it here at Blogit. I feel like I am making friends already.

I actually received comments on my first blog entry--nice warm and welcoming comments that were all very cool too. Someone even likes hippies, one doesn't own a car which shocks me, another shops at thrift stores and brings her own bags to go shopping, and another told me I was among friends and didn't have to write in the third person. It's just so much easier to hide behind rough and gruff MsRefusenik than to be vulnerable Maryellen Grady. And another just wrote, "hahahaha" which warmed my... Sign in to see full entry.

Okay, it seems fitting to sort of introduce myself since I'm new to the neighborhood and all. I do hope to make friends too. I can't be the only weird old person around here, can I? Alright, yeah, I do live in the Seventies like my kid say. So what? Things were better then. It's like my Neil Young and Crazy Horse or her Death Cab for Cutie. No contest. I Can't Believe I'm Paying Cash for the Privilege of Talkin' at You All

And as far as cash goes, well I'm saving up to buy toliet paper because coffee filters are getting rough in every way. What's the worst you've ever had to use? I swear I never had to use newspaper but I want to meet somebody who has. It's got to be just awful. I had this really horrible sort of drinking buddy a few years ago.
