Then and Now Beasts of Burden Built my wall Thick from bricks Of several years Your eyes bore in And through this hole You touched me Tender Saw my tears With one bright smile I saw your heart Reached for you And felt you care You took my hand I felt your love The wall then crumbled Left me bare…... Since I can remember, poetry has been my preferred method of expressing what I feel deep inside. I have decided to begin sharing them here, because keeping them in my computer or stuffed in a folder in a drawer is not helping me to finally release these emotions and heal.
