The drums They pounded faint in the distance, And I knew that fate approached, Soft trumpet melodies weaved in With the trembling chorus of many men, They chanted as they approached me... I heard a man speak out, And spin his tale of woe, Of battles so fierce that Men left the field animals, Never... Sign in to see full entry.

I stretch

I stretch back here, And reach to the sky, I reach out with anxious toes, Reaching for a pedestal, Let them rest, Oh, let me rest, As I take a break from it all... From the grinding, The winding, The never-ending turn... The unknown, The new home, An every-approaching deadline... Oh, how I break... Sign in to see full entry.

Goobye

Oh, please don't think that I'll forget you, My dearest and oldest friend, I'll never forget what we've been through, And we fought together until the end... Please don't think I've forgotten about how it felt, To stand victoriously over our field of battle, How it felt to feel the sweat drip into... Sign in to see full entry.

Oh, how you attack me so! You beast that burdens me, You weigh upon my body now, Eyelids so heavy I cannot see! You take me to darkness, And force me back to light, You tempt me and then betray me Almost every single night. Oh, how you torture me! How you plague my desire to be free! You chain me... I see eleven year olds In front of orchestras, Seven year olds In the university lab, Leading an extra-ordinary Life. I hear tales of these prodigies, I hear stories of these great, Seemingly massive... Sign in to see full entry.

Tell me something, Tell me the truth or Tell me lies... Who cares? The dude abides. Salty rhythm And tasty cakes, If it's all fun Then there are no stakes. I like this kind of gamble, Where nothing can go wrong, But is it too good to be true? If I thought you had the answer, I'd be there asking you.... Sign in to see full entry.

To my friends

They say a friend is someone who is always there, One who's loyalties never falter. They say a friend should be the one to do away with care, And make things seem clear as water. They say a friend should shine like a beacon of light, Standing firm for you on the sadest night, And they say with you... Sign in to see full entry.

Johnny

I say nothings more dangerous than a lack of ambition, I'll demonstrate this verdict now in a verbal rendition, For it is fact the mind craves the mental stimulation Of the thrill that is desire and then acquisition. Now let us pretend for a moment that there is a boy, His name is Johnny and his... Sign in to see full entry.
