The Babaylanes of Antique

All these discussions with professed "Pagans" remind me of a reactionary religious group in the island of Panay. They call themselves the " babaylanes." The term itself speaks of a woman-dominated religious group (" babayi " is the word for "woman" in Panay) which I think reflects the pre-Spanish... Sign in to see full entry.
