Chico Chism

I found out about Chico Chism's death through one of my Chicago-related email lists. He was a blues drummer, and Chicago is famous for its blues scene. E. Howard Hunt

Although E. Howard Hunt served as a CIA director at one point in his career - among other political jobs - he was perhaps best known as what he called himself: "a Watergate conspirator." Fr. Robert Drinan

The name Robert Drinan isn't going to "ring a bell" with the average reader, but he was a Jesuit priest who served in the American House of Representatives until Pope John Paul II issued a worldwide directive barring priests from holding any kind of elective office. Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro died this morning. Although his obituaries did not specify his age, according to racing rules, he would have turned 4 on Jan. 1. 2007 (Jan. 1 being the arbitrary birth date of racing Thoroughbreds).
