Pesky Interviews...

What to do when your interviewee won't respond to your calls: 1. - Bitch, moan, whine and complain, but keep trying anyway 2. - Give up - so what if you lose the assignment, that person doesn't deserve to be highlighted anyway! 3. Call up their nemesis... (cue evil laugh) 4. Threaten them that... Sign in to see full entry.

Mini goals&rewards - wrote two articles, edited a third and sent all three

to respective publishers. Received an email from one saying he liked it and could I please do an article on such-and-such next. OF COURSE:) I also queried two or three potential freelance jobs in between some of my productivity. Now FINALLY I can go dry my hair and make dinner. In one fell swoop...... I am selfish with my writing money...

How to Disable a Stressful Commute to Work

So as many of you know - or may have forgotten, I drive nearly an hour one way to and from work. I am a newspaper's news editor. I just bought a Mazda 3 and love it, but still get frustrated with the long drive. I came up with this brilliant idea to combat the grumpiness I experience from that... Sign in to see full entry.

A Day off and too much to do to write

So looks like I will be wrapping presents, baking and cleaning today. No time for writing. Got Christmas cards to address and send - if there is even mail today. And more cookies to bake, even though sis and I stayed up till midnight making some last night. And a majorly destructed room to... Sign in to see full entry.

It has been TWO FULL WEEKS

since I last wrote to this post. Probably my last post. But I am trying to motivate myself, so I hope it is ok with you guys if I just write when I have time. I think it will be a good thing for me to do - keeping in a regular routine of dropping a post, no matter how large or small. After all,... Sign in to see full entry.

Catching up with myself...again!

So how do you all do it? Moms working and taking care of the family and the house, people working more than one job, those stuck working the night shift and sleeping during the day? I could never do it. Well, ok, I can't IMAGINE myself being very successful at it. I just bought a new car and I am... Sign in to see full entry.
