Haunting Myself

Odd how after all this time, a smell can still cause memory to flash, an instant of burning behind my eyes, a sound can trigger an alerted stance, hightened senses warning of danger, my wife will look up from her book or, my daughter will pause while crossing the room, I close my eyes and deeply...
