Breathing easier...
Most of the numbers are in now, and it feels like a great storm that was expected has passed, and was less damaging than I feared it would be. That's from my point of view, of course: I have no illusions about America being less passionately polarized than it was a week ago. There still is a great deal of work to do, confrontations to be faced, challenges to be responded to, before any real balance is achieved in this fractured society.
