On Sunday, my grandpuppy, Cooper got shoved into a kennel... a cat's kennel, he'll have you know, and taken away and stowed on a plane and rumbled along for hours and hours until some utter strangers whisked him out of the plane and off to a place of poking and prodding, and then whooshed into a place of many kennels full of strange, sad and irritated dogs... Human individuals, growing from infancy to ancientsy, learn and adapt and change and grow... as does the human race, as a societal entity. I am among those who believe it takes lifetimes for a soul to evolve, and that entire life-spans are taken up with learning, perhaps, one little lesson, or taking one small but essential step.
