August Job Report: Not Too Good!

The United States lost 4,000 nonfarm jobs in August. Losses were most heavily felt in manufacturing and construction. Countrywide Financial Corporation, one of the nation's largest mortgage lenders, announced on Friday that it is eliminating 12,000 jobs. The subprime loans that it had been selling...
