Hi!
My name is Paulette I am 49 years old live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world I believe the South Island of New Zealand. I live in a small town called Waimate with a population of 3,500 and in the country ten miles out of the town on a beef fattening farm of 120 acres this is a third generation farm. I am married to Melvyn, have two beautiful daughters aged 22 and 20.
Waimate is a Maori word means stagnant or intimentent waters, I live next five minutes away from a river with an amazing swiming hole, lined with willow trees.
I am an Ordained Minister,Counsellor,Artist/Writer.
I am fortunate to be able to work in all my passions. I have a background of 'Speech and Drama'up to grade eight with the 'Trinity school of Speech and Drama'in London .
I think your talents, potential is like a seed or potential energy stored within right from birth and it needs nurturing and tending till a time it needs a catalyst to set it in motion. My potential has been fueled by my upbringing, my experiences, by people, my essence.
As a child I was highly imaginative a dreamy girl who loved books, was an avid reader, where as other children wanted toys I wanted books and devoured them.
I would make up plays and perform them to family, friends, at school concerts, dragging my youngest sister in with me with the lure of prize money and brute force, with her protests,
"I don't know what we are doing"
My response being,
"Don't worry about it we will make it up as we go along" and we did.
I think all are creative as we are made in the image of God who created us, and if we dont move in our creative giftings, talents a part of ourselves is denied.
Sadly I did this for many years, I missed this part of myself greatly. Five years ago through unusual circumstances I came into writing and discovered, united with my creative part again.
I think we all have a voice inside that is needing to come out and writing is a vehicle for our voices to be heard.
I have many interests, from swiming,to music,singing,dancing,entertaining,cooking, movies,politics,live theatre, shoot pool, table tennis, cards, board games.
I am an incurable romantic, I believe in the romance of life, and romance betweenn a man and a woman to myself is incredibly beautiful. I am honest,have a wicked,goofy sense of humour, love to have fun and laugh. I see humour in all things even the darkest times in ones life there is humour.
