I've been writing on and off for years, plays, songs and poetry.  Now I'm retired from the boring business of having to make a living I thought I'd develop the poetry side a bit.  I've been a Royal Marine Commando, teacher, trainer, driving instructor, traditional corn miller and failed salesman.  In between times I've driven a cab and done other people's DIY (flat packs a speciality).

I've had a lifelong interest in folk music, dance and lore.  I used to be a keen morris dancer (in 1981 I danced 202.2 miles from Orpington to Worcester in 6 days 6 hours and 33 minutes) but arthritis in my big toe has put a stop to that, though I still turn out occasionally to play the music.

Two years ago I brought out a CD 'Tomorrow Never Comes', which was a collection of my own songs.  It made me realise I'm a better writer than performer!
