I am the 47 year old dad of two normal, happy children. At least that's my opinion. As I write this, my daughter is 17 years old and my son is 4 years old. Being a dad is what I have wanted to be since I was a preteen and so I have fulfilled my dream. I wish I had about a dozen kids but life doesn't always cooperate.

About myself? Well, where do I begin past being a dad? What's important? Politically, religiously, spiritually, philosophically, morally, ethically? Let's say that I'm on the fringes of these adverbs. I'm a liberal Unitarian-Universalist who is a theist that agrees with many of the concepts espoused in "Conversations With God". I believe that all people are created equal but then mankind has this system which makes some more equal than others. I believe in love, equality, diversity, education, and partying on Friday Nights!

I have a history of "running away with the circus". The first time I ran away I was 24 years old. I moved from my east coast home in Connecticut to Las Vegas to become a dealer in the casinos. I got a million stories about that!! Then, when I was 30 years old, I moved to Chicago to be a Major League Baseball Statistician and sportswriter. During that time, I met my wife, had two kids, moved to Kentucky and now live in the Denver metro area among the majestic Rockie Mountains. I think I've found my home.

I have had the plearsure of experiences that are very wide ranging. I went back to college when I was in my early 30s and graduated with a degree in Economics in 1994. I had major brain surgery for the removal of a softball sized brain tumor from my skull. That left me unable to work because of several deficiencies that corporate America would rather not deal with. That's okay with me! As long as corporate America continues to send the disability check to my address, I can live with that.

There is so much more to tell. I don't want to sound vain but I've got a million stories. I don't know if they're interesting to anyone else, but they sure entertain me! I love telling them. And maybe with this Blog thing, I will get the chance!
