I never really believed that life begins at forty...until I turned forty...and all of the following events have happened in my life since that auspicious birthday!
I never thought I'd be a writer...or have Parkinson's Disease. I
never thought I'd design and make expensive jewelry...that sells, or join a writer's website where I would make friends. I never thought I'd find my true love after going through a heart-breaking divorce. I never thought I'd be a divorced woman; I never thought that would ever happen to me!
I never thought I'd find love again...much less meet my true love, my soul mate...my raison...and that he, Max, and I would live in Jakarta, Las Vegas, Orlando, Boca Raton, and Grand Cayman Island...
Never did I think dreams really come true, and that I would live my dream...that I would really someday live in a little cozy house in the woods in the mountains...
I never thought I'd be "pleasingly plump", and that my husband would still love me, and still think I am beautiful...and still tell me every day! Max does all those things...
Some things I have learned thus far in my life are:
DREAM! BELIEVE YOUR DREAMS WILL COME TRUE!
NEVER GIVE UP YOUR DREAMS...IF YOU DO, ALL YOU'LL HAVE IS YOUR PRESENT REALITY!
MIRACLES HAPPEN; THEY ARE EVERYWHERE WHEN YOU LOOK FOR THEM.
WE ARE ULTIMATELY NOT IN CONTROL OF OUR LIVES; IF YOU GET IN TROUBLE, GOD WILL HELP.
DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR WHAT YOU NEED...OR WANT!
BE CONTENT WITH SMALL THINGS...SO THAT YOU CAN BE CONTENT WITH MORE!
DON'T FORGET TO SAY, "THANK YOU." TO GOD. HE KNOWS OUR HEARTS...HE WANTS US TO HAVE OUR HEARTS' DESIRES, HE WANTS US TO BE HAPPY...HE KNOWS WE ARE THANKFUL...BUT HE STILL LIKES TO HEAR IT...AND HE ESPECIALLY LIKES IT WHEN WE SAY, "I LOVE YOU."
Never be afraid your dreams won't come true...they sure won't if you don't believe! Don't be afraid of disappointment...if we were never disappointed, we'd all be insufferable spoiled brats. There are disappointments in life, to be sure, but there are dreams that materialize into reality also! Sometimes we can look at a dream, back up from it, and decide how to make it come true ourselves. Other times, we literally pray our dreams true! Sometimes a dream doesn't come true...see disappointments above...the important thing to remember is to never stop believing...we have great power within ourseves when we BELIEVE!
