I am 41 years old, married with four grown children, two granddaughters, and one cat.  I have been married to my second husband for almost twelve years now after my first marriage ended in divorce after four years almost five.

I grew up in a small small town in Ohio and moved to Florida with my mother and her new husband when I was fifteen.  Moving to florida probaly saved me from a redneck life, and I credit my mother for getting me out of there with their small town mentality and ideas.

I am politcally liberal, very open minded, politcally active in Naples, I knock on doors, I make phone calls, I put up yard signs for candidates that I believe in, and I have blogged for a senatorial candidate back in 06.

I have systemic lupus which is what my blog is about and I may start another one where I can wax poetic regarding my political views as I have seen alot of conservative ones on here but very few with the other side of the coin so to speak.

I am a huge believer in the first amendment as well as the others although if not for the first one the rest would be null and void.

I was raised Penecostal, I became Buddhist about five years ago though.  I believe we have to chose our own path when it comes to spiritual matters and Buddhism gives me the peace of mind one gets when one has a strong spiritual foundation to build upon.
