Until now, I have avoided this little auto-bio mostly because I'm not sure what I want to say about myself. Still completely uncertain of every arduous, labyrinthine detail I desire to divulge, I hestitate even now. But, in not saying anything I am leaving more to the imagination than I care to; so I have decided to simply say that I am a middle aged woman struggling to be all I can, do all I can, and to laugh at life and find humor, or at the very least - a little levity, in all that is my life.
I am struggling with weight. Not hundreds of pounds, as some must, but still more than I care for. I am going through some tough changes in my life. While I have endured harder times, I am perhaps going through the equivalent of a "mid-life crisis" in some areas. Mostly, I am a happy, outgoing, Christ-loving, extremely accepting and non-judgmental individual. I am not relgious at all, but highly spiritual. I am romantically entangled and highly committed; but some days I feel very emotionally unavailable. I am a nice person. I am a pretty woman. I have compassion for others. I love to work with my hands, sing, dance, read, shop, watch movies, and above all else, I love to write. In the words of Forrest Gump, I think "that's all I have to say about that" ... at least for now.
This, at least, gives you some idea of who I am. When I figure out more, I'll fill you in. Thanks for your interest. This network is a most enjoyable escape and serves double duty on some days as highly therapeutic, thanks to all of you other wonderfully unique creatures. Even if I am not noticed, I have all of you to notice and revel in. I love the opportunity to know, to learn, to share, and to be shared with.
Oh yes ... and my credo is that silliness rules. Someone once wrote, "A good laugh is a mighty good thing, and rather too scarce a good thing; the more's the pity." I don't know who that smart person was, but I wish it would have been me. It's perhaps the truest words ever written. It is an idea that has crept into my brain and made a home there. I live to laugh at the right things. I hope I'll be able to share some of my fun with you! Thanks for stopping in from time to time!
