It's always good to consider the source, that is to know a little about an author and where he's coming from. I'm a native of Michigan's northern lower peninsula. Eagle Scout, graduated fromUniversity of Michigan, B.A. Economics. Visited Viet Nam 1970. I have worked in many and owned a restaurant and bar. I have have been self-employed through most of my career. Currently, I am a real estate broker. I've been married and divorced twice, last time 1990, but have five wonderful children, who regard me as their intellectual mentor and Dad. I am an avid outdoorsman, Boy Scout leader, canoeist, gardner, Aquarian, individualist, middle-aged 50's, and a keen observer of people. I try to live by the seasons, but life keeps getting in the way. I have only a couple of agendas, fierce defense of constitutional freedoms and property rights, and reluctance to embrace organized religion. I'm pretty laid back. I write out of frustration; it's a catharsis; and because I believe that I have something to say. I've always been a story teller. I believe that accounts for the effective incalcation of my children, that is to tell them stories and parables, instead of do's and do not's. The stories, they remember.
