I'm Vickie, a 49-year-old piano instructor from Arkansas. I've been married for 28 years to Bill and we have a 27-year-old son, Jeremy.
We spent 21 years in the United States Air Force. I was in the military for a short period of time which was where Bill and I met. We found one another at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi. We married and were soon assigned to Offutt AFB, Omaha, Nebraska.
Jeremy and I spent 5 years there while Bill spent 4 there and 1 on a remote assignment in Turkey. We then spent 3 years at Ramstein AFB, in West Germany (at that time it was still West Germany), 3 years at Castle AFB, in Atwater, California and 3 years at RAF Lakenheath, England (our favorite assignment).
We have retired near Scott AFB, Illinois and only 4 hours from my home.
I am a pianist on our church's worship team and an occasional Sunday School teacher.
I love pets and travel, needlework (cross stitch, crochet, embroidery, needlepoint), reading and music. And of course, I love writing!
We love computer games in this house and all 3 of us are addicted to World of Warcraft which we often play together. We like board games and card games and are partial to sci-fi/fantasy books and television.
I am a history buff as well and so is my husband. He is especially interested in the Civil War and WWII while I also love the Civil War and I'm very much into the Kings and Queens of England, in particular, Henry VIII and his six, lovely wives.
