A born and raised Brooklynite (I like to stress that, as most natives shun being from Brooklyn – they are probably running away from a bitter past). A strange twist of fate brought me to live where my roots are – Sicily. I’ve been in Palermo for 6 years now and I can safely say that I have somewhat found my niche in the cosmos; though I sometimes miss NY terribly, for every one reason that I can find for moving back I can find a just-as-good one for staying put.

Besides teaching TEFL courses and other jobs inherent to bilingual skills, other near-future and far-future projects are writing an English grammar book tailored to the needs of the Italian learner and in a user-friendly manner, writing short stories and possibly a novel, taking a stab at screenwriting, and finding a job that would allow me to live between NY and Palermo (it’s a sacrosanct right to dream). Above all, what I want is peace of mind, which I get through writing. I am fortunate to have this exhaust valve that eases a lot of nastiness with every keystroke and I am also fortunate to have found this outlet that allows me to do so.
