"No man is an island" comes from a sermon by the seventeenth-century English author John Donne.  What then of "MotuMikey"?  "Motu" is a Tahitian word for island.  "Mikey" is a man.  Therefore, at least one man is an island.  A retraction is in order, Mr. Donne!

I, MotuMikey, am a husband, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, a neighbor, a citizen.  I am also a writer, a marketer, a president, a CEO, a homeowner, a landowner, a company owner and the owner of a 34-year-old baseball glove that is surely of no value to anyone but me.

I am a thinker, an innovator, an ideator and the grandson of an inventor.  I like to make other people think.  I like to make other people laugh.  I despise hatred.  I abhor terrorism.  I am increasingly disappointed in my fellow man.  Yet...

I am eternally optimistic.
