Currently, I live in Chicago and am spending my time looking for a day job. When I first moved here in '03 I got involved with "A Crew of Patches"; A theatre company that performed full-text versions of Shakespeare plays for Junior High and High School students. I performed various roles in many different productions including Macbeth, Julius Caesar, Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night, Taming of the Shrew, and others.
Two years ago, I got an opportunity to direct Macbeth. A friend of mine in the play had recently started his own production company and was filming his first low-budget movie. He enjoyed my interpretation of the script and asked me if I'd ever thought of writing my ideas down; He was interested in doing a Shakespeare adaptation for his next project. He gave me crash-course in screenwriting and I fell in love with it.
To date I have a polished, strange, and terrifying film adaptation of Macbeth, the first draft of an historical epic, and the outline of a sci-fi/fantasy novel. And my first short-story blog. Cheers.
