Oh, a blank page... how exciting! Where to start?

I'm an anglo-indian living in the UK at present. I studied medicine and practiced as a house officer for around six months before I found the hours quite distressing! I don't know how the poor things cope with it all. After that I became a nurse. The hours were less distressing and at least one could comfort the patients instead of approaching them scalpel in hand! It was always a privilege to care for people and I did so around various places of the globe. After my back gave out (all nurses will report the same) I did some administration - proved that I could type and file and answer the telephone. After nearly passing away with terminal boredom, I then retrained as a pattern cutter. I work for a wedding dress company and at least it's creative.

I have always written and love doing so. To be in the company of those of similar inclination is heaven! My English is not perfect and I beg readers to excuse any grammatical mistakes. I live with my second husband who puts up with me most heroically, despite the fact that I always laugh at him, and a plethora of zebra finches. Actually, I think they own me. Daughter has grown up and flown the nest, although we are constantly inundated with various nieces and nephews who know that they can get away with most things when staying with Aunty.

As to my age... I am far too old to Boogie on Down and far too young to wear crimpelene dresses and white cardis. Hmmm... maybe I am not too old to Boogie on Down!

I am into alternative medicine, such as homoeopathy and ayurveda, and pursue yoga meditation as a way to remedy my sad self... LOL. I also believe that a sense of humour is essential to life in the same way as eating and breathing.
