I grew up in Delhi, lived for many years in Malaysia, including Borneo and now live in Melbourne. In the last 15 years I have also begun to see Dharamshala as home, for this was my mother's summer place. After her death, I come here for a few weeks a year to connect with the community of friends and get a feel again that I am my mother's daughter. There is something magical about the Himalayas that recharges me and I go back to Melbourne feeling happy with myself and looking forward to family, friends, work and my garden.
