The president was originally scheduled to go to Miami but the Bay of pigs was still raw in the throat of the Cubans and the chilling word, "assassination" was being floated in Spanish. At the last moment, after significant lobbying by the Vice President and Jackie Kennedy's agreement to join her husband, the site visit was switched to Dallas on November 21, 1963. The Secret Service scrambled and J. Edgar Hoover agreed to go to Dallas for a fund raising dinner. Meanwhile the CIA was training a group of Cubans at "The Farm," in Virginia...among them was Lee Harvey Oswald.
