When I was in high school we had an admin of a sort. The light outside and above the door would turn red and start blinking 30 seconds before the door closed! Lol It is insane the way young people push everything to the nth degree! I believe the influencers and internet in general are a root cause.

Everything starts and ends with the home.

Teaching children the rules should start at an early age. A stable home environment helps guide them toward making good choices, yet many children lack this foundation.

Mike.....

A lot of this sort of stuff still goes on in the first year of college, as if they didn't learn their lessons in high school.    And you would not believe some of the parents and problems from them.

I suppose when I left school at 14 the first thing was to get fixed with some kind of employment. I remember one man telling me that his Mother took him for an interview.

'He's a bit small.' the overseer said. 'Well you don't get rats from mice,' His mother replied.

He got the job and blocks were put on the delivery bicycle pedals.

It does seem like a lot of parents aren't teaching their children how to be model citizens these days. Then when schools try, the parents get mad.

I don't know what most parents do today since my children grew up in the 1960s & 1970s. But there were rules at home and school and on the job, standards of behavior and being part of society, be it at school, on the job, or just out and about. Those who don't follow them, who are disruptive or even violent, make life more difficult for all. To those who rebel and dawdle, those who act like bullies - you're making life harder for all concerned and casting yourself as an outsider. Get a grip!

Good Evening

BearcatMike, I have to think about this for a while.  I had no idea this was going on in schools.  I know that children know the rules when they are very small.  I wonder what happens in school.  What is going on?  This is a mystery to me.
