Re: Good Morning
Well Pat I can sympathies during the War we had coupons for clothes. My Father needed them the most, so I can't remember much, but I know I was bemoaning the fact that Mother gave me a vest with frills around it. 'I am not wearing that' I remember saying it was old Noble King's wife's. I had to wear the shoes although I hated them, because they had a fancy design. Although it was nothing compared to the little Gypsy with a coat made from a corn sack.🌺

Good morning. I can imagine how embarrassing that must have been. It is really ridiculous that thrift store shopping used to be such a big deal. Now it is a popular way to find vintage clothing and other cool deals.

Good Morning
Pat, now I know many people who shop at thrift stores and are glad to find great buys. I know my neighbor who just passed away had a son whose wife is a doctor. He's always telling me about great finds. He said he finds a lot of walkers and canes at the thrift stores and gives them to people who need help. Everything is different now. My one friend had a teenage daughter who liked name-brand things. My friend couldn't afford them, so she would cut out a label from something she would find and sew it onto jeans. Her daughter didn't know they were from the thrift store and loved the jeans. I think the girl who said that to you about the white blouse was a snob. I hope you have a good day. I wonder what her life was like over the years.
