- Go to Down On The Farm
Good Morning
Pat, I'm so glad your Mom could keep all of you together while she was in the hospital. It sounds like a wonderful learning experience. I think being on the farm, eating home-cooked fresh food, and experiencing new things daily was a great way to spend the time waiting for your Mom to come home. I'm wondering whether they had fruit trees on the farm for fresh apple pie. I also wonder if the farm is still there after all these years. It could be run by future generations. I loved this post. I hope you have a good day.

Wonderful experience for you and the others but how awful for your mother. Dealing with a dreaded disease and leaving her children for a year is hard to fathom.

It must have been a good experience and a lucky one.
Hopefully, it helped your mother know you were in safe hands. 🌺

Good morning. What a neat experience that must have been for you and your siblings. Learning where our food and milk come from is so important to kids. I'm sure you guys had many meals with plenty of that homemade butter and fresh milk to drink.
