I have not heard of this happening before. Very Interesting. Perhaps where you live people sort of make it sound like one word which could be confusing for children!

I have seen the misuse of "alot" and "alright" as long as I can remember. Grammar rules are broken every day, making it challenging to keep up with them. As culture, technology, and communication styles evolve, so do people’s habits. Spellcheck and AI will help those who are unfamiliar with the hundreds of grammar guidelines.
