I had a fairly big wedding I must admit and I never really wanted it but Dad said it was his wedding, and he wanted all the relatives and friends there! That marriage lasted 18 years!

I have never understood blowing thousands of dollars on a wedding. When we got married, we both had recently turned twenty-one and had little to no money. He had recently enlisted in the Navy, and I worked as a waitress at the enlisted club on the base. We will be married for 40 years on January 1, 1987.
