My Dad kept gardening until he couldn't remember what one was supposed to do with the stuff he grew. He picked the tomatoes green and he brought them inside and filled the washing machine with them

A different time Taps. One had to be as self-sufficient as possible. Here, most men had an allotment a long length of garden. Also, when the first council houses were built, the land allotted to each house would easily allow three houses today. 🌺
