When my daughter and her husband were tending to a stray they made her a house and put in a warming mat. They took her to the vet but no chip was discovered. When they decided to keep her they took her for shots and unbelievably the chip was found. They located the owner and she belonged to 2 little girls. It was in December and they said it was a Christmas miracle. Too cute. It’s great you're feeding the cat because you never know who will be smiling!

W I did buy a heated mat last year and the cat liked that what am I saying I did hang an infra red heater as the mat went home and the cat like to sit under that. One has to be careful of fire but this was in a greenhouse. I don't know how the stray cat copes, but we have not had hard winters for quite a time .and I offer shelter in a rainproof dog kennel with adequat bedding.
