We must think of the weevil it chews its way through only a small hole. What does the apple do probably increases the sweetness so the weevil can mature and leave as quick as possible.😊

Well you see dear everything one buys has been handled many times. No one would buy apples with a hole in them, Of course they have been sprayed as blossom and then who knows. Just wash yours well;🌺

YES.....I do like my apples.
I didn't even used to peel them, but with the coming of age I peel my fresh apples.

I used to live in Washington state, which is famous for apple production, and I remember that apples with little worms did have the best flavor. I guess the little critters know how to pick 'em.
