Re: Graysome
Yes dear, I suppose it is how the mind works. Some things we do not want to remember.🌺🌺

Chiff, Chaff
You captured the way I used to feel when I would go by train, "The Katy", with my Dad to visit my Grandma (his mother). It was an eight-hour trip through Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma and I would get motion sick and throw up. I always would manage to throw up on my new patent leather shoes and when we got to the station, my Dad would sit me on the Shoe-Shine seat and have the shoe-shine boy clean me up for Grandma before she would see me.

That was an enjoyable stroll down memory lane. I like what kids ponder in their youth thinking how it might be when they become of age. You captured this quite well.

I believe that his auntie is correct. Buying a chocolate bar🍫for a three-year-old dressed in clean, fancy clothes is a big risk, but it is a happy day after all. Might as well enjoy the day for all it's worth.

That you remember something from when you were three is amazing. I'm guessing the day was completely different from the normal routine, which made it an item for the permanent file. I loved the feel of your post, kind of surreal and mysterious, but pleasant. Good work!
