Good Evening

FSI, I've never been to New Orleans, but it does look like a fun place to be.  I hope you have a good night.

What a great city. Years ago in my mid 20's I went with 2 buddies. One from Indiana the other from Northern Ireland. We heading to California but decided to check out Bourbon St. We pooled our money to buy a pitcher of beer and listened to jazz for most of the night. When I went to my I discovered, in my excitement, I had locked my keys in my car. I had to prove I own it! Lol The officer was great and had a tool to unlock it. But, a marvelous place to visit.

Thanks for reminding me of one of our best road trips. We visited New Orleans in 2018. The city is full of life at every turn. Live bands, crowded streets, excellent food choices, and amazing historic homes and buildings. My family met up at the St. Charles Hotel, where we stayed. From there, we took a streetcar that ran by the hotel. It was a great way to see some of the city. We also walked several blocks around the neighborhood, where we located several celebrity homes and cemeteries, one of which was featured on CSI. I can honestly say that we ate our way through New Orleans. It was the first time I had ever tried shrimp & grits. We then went on the hunt for a sweet treat. The Cafe Du Monde had the best beignets. The restaurant is located next to the river where paddle boats were stationed, ready to take visitors on river tours. We found several restaurants in the French Quarter that had excellent Cajun and Italian food, from po'boy sandwiches to muffaletta; we tried it all. On our last night in NOLA, we dined at Emeril's Restaurant.
