I third Sam444's opinion on the matter. The punishment needs to fit the crime. Murderers are in a category all of their own.

Many convicts in California released early on the basis on overcrowding. The system isn’t good. Sam444 had a good idea.
No remorse seems to sum up everything.

I have no leniency when it comes to murder and even less when it is a policeman. I would hope there could be 2 different individuals with lesser degree of a crime that could get early release to keep these guys where they belong.
