In part, disabled people can thank Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill," which cuts 600 billion dollars from Medicaid, is partially to blame for the issue. There are new requirements that go into effect at the end of this year. The decisions for disabled people who wish to advance will come down to each state's exemptions as they rebuild their system around the new rules and a disabled person's individual situation.
