I was unaware of these superstitions. I learned a lot of new things today.

Re: Oh no, Sea_Gypsy. Thank God he was okay. Your dad knew something.

My gawd, that had to be a really awful day for you guys. Obviously, someone was looking out for your husband. I have never heard of a black car being bad luck. I'm feeling thankful right now that our vehicles are blue.

I was trying to think of a superstition I have and actually none came to mind. Superstitions are well known in baseball.

My mother was superstitious in so many old Celtic ways.  And oddly enough my Dad’s father was too. Old Italians are often quite superstitious. My Dad as well. He would never buy a black car. He said his father told him they were bad luck. I shined on the family superstition when we found a great deal on a brand new shiny back car! We bought it and enjoyed it a few weeks before a drunk driver hit my hubby head on in an old pickup and totaled it. He had no insurance of course but went to jail. Our new car looked like the El Fayed car after Princess Di was killed. God was good in that hubby only had a lot of glass in his body and was able to walk to the ambulance. Lesson: not sure. 😄 🌹🙏

I don't feel as though i am superstitious myself but I have known plenty of people who are.

It might be something that happened in childhood. I went right back to when I was two years old and found the reason I didn't like eating in company.🦋
