I've been so lucky with stocks. But I use NO leverage. I could make more, but at least I sleep at nights. Steve.

I sold off my xhares, quite a few years ago while they held a small profit. Taxes were ruining my profit

Hi Slam the worst share I still hold is if I can remember BBC 3. I keep hoping a  takeover might restore the balance but it is a slow process. I suppose it may pay a little interest. 

I have found trusts are more reliable but the cost of living is becoming worse consistently.

 My nephew takes a lodger. My choice would be a moderately young person in a decent occupation.
