Lo Sam, I can always buy your book with Pay Pal. If it goes through Amazon one has to wait a while before it is offered in U.K. Mining always seems precarious but sadly a lot of jobs take their toll I know men who worked in mills died rather too early compared with their peers. 🌺

Mining was not too kind to my family. Of course it was coal mining and my Grandpa died of black lung way too early (in his 50's) and my uncle in his 40's when he fell down a mine shaft and broke his neck. I was six years old when those things happened.

Of all the scary jobs I can think of - outside of military service - mining seems the most risky. I'm thankful there are brave souls who do it, but it's not for me. Very interesting pictures! Looks like some progress on your book - two thumbs up!
