Wow. What a mess the Sot is making, and unnecessarily so. Alcohol can be so toxic to a person's thinking. We have a few of them in our big family. I feel bad for your daughter. Like you said, those who love her will support her and attend the baby shower. I hope it all eventually sorts itself out for the sake of all involved.

I'd pick whatever event the sot would not be attending. A nasty drunk can ruin the day.

Ahh. what a shame! Hard drinkers who can’t maintain are difficult to deal with rationally at best. I hope Jessica can continue to rise above and enjoy her shower.
