I grew up in western Washington, where it was seldom hot but often damp. I didn't mind it being cloudy -- and a light rain never kept me indoors if I wanted a hike up Ivy's hill or down into the valley along Mill Creek. Here in Illinois though, it gets steamy and miserable in the summer, plus the 'fun' of tornadic thunderstorms.

Good morning. We used to live in Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, and California. I miss the dry heat. The humidity in Pennsylvania is a nightmare. I never had to deal with frizzy hair until we moved here. The sizzling heat during the summer makes it even worse.
