Re:
Pat, I was in Texas one summer day, and I can remember the sign on the bank said 120. I couldn't believe it.

Good Afternoon
Sam444, I'm so sorry about your air quality. We went through this, and I can honestly say it's awful. Enjoy your puzzle!

Good morning. We went through the same thing. The smoke permeated indoors and sent our allergies all out of whack. Occupying yourself indoors is smart. Going outside for any length of time, the COVID mask will come in handy. I still have all of mine, just in case.

The smoke and the ensuing air quality is not letting up. I would stay inside, too, and cancel appointments if it keeps up as well.

I don't remember a hot spell this oppressive in the past. Maybe it's just that the here and now is always the most vivid - but do not remember getting warnings on the media to stay hydrated, etc. I remember driving by one of those time & temp signs at the bank saying it was 104 and thinking 'hmmm' years ago. Maybe it's old age creeping up on me that it just feels like the gates of hell have opened.
