What a pain in the rear end...I would have been tempted to lower his mark for making a fuss about nothing, if I was his teacher. Well maybe that was why I never wanted to be a teacher!

My guess is that Marty has parents who expected him to get high marks on his report card. Perfectionism is a personality trait that he may have learned from those who pushed him harder than he knew how to deal with.
