New comment .relating to shoes. I don't know why but we always wore boots they were covered with large flat headed nails on the soles of course, and in those days we always had lots of snow and frost so one was soon walking with a sheet of ice on each foot and ones feet were frozen. To add to the agony when one peeled of one's socks and tried to bring life back to one's poor feet by the fire, chilblains attacked like a swarm of bees. Happy days.🌺

There's something exciting about buying new shoes. I find it to be refreshing...Hoping that your winter footwear shows up.

An extra pair of shoes is always nice. I can't believe I wore high heels to work for years, but I did. 👠 The last time I remember wearing heels was to a Christmas party in the 90s. I am 5'9", so heels make me 6'0" tall. These days I prefer my comfy Sperry boat shoes, sandals, flip-flops, or sneakers, and sometimes I wear boots in the winter when I go outdoors.
