Re:
Sherri, I think when you line-dry clothes outside, they have a wonderful fresh scent. I'm glad the rain held off, and you had a good day.

Re:
Sam444, I hope the fire is contained soon. I wonder if the ducks are frightened by the smoke. I'm so glad no structures were damaged. I wonder where people go when they are told to evacuate? I know if they told me to evacuate I'd be gone. They wouldn't have to tell me twice. Be safe and stay cool. 104 is hot! When I lived in Arkansas, random fires would start in the fields. It was very scary to me.

We were supposed to get rain, but thankfully, we did not. I threw a load of summer tops into the washing machine today, and I hung my clothes out to dry on the line.

I think it is great to be flexible. Great things can happen on spur of the moment activities. I would love to be basking in 79 degree weather. It's 104 degrees now in my valley. Too hot! Also a fire is burning north of the city. Human caused is the suspicion. The word is that it could be contained by tomorrow. It was so sad to see the foothills on fire when I came down to take care of the ducks! I don't think any structures were lost but earlier in the week people were on alert to evacuate.

Our Colorado Springs morning started beautifully bright and cool, and even less smoky from the fires to the southwest of us than it's been lately. Not that the fire is less, but the winds have changed. The fire is on track to becoming the worst in Colorado's recorded history.
